Q: I keep sabotaging myself – in everything I do, every new thing I try I seem to just mess it up. It’s got to the point I can’t even talk to my friends about it because they just want to kick my backside – what is wrong with me, why can’t I pursue my Big Dream? – Rob
Firstly, please quit beating yourself up! It doesn’t help.
Trust in yourself – every part of every body has a positive intention – here’s a link to a video about this concept: http://youtu.be/uGIxbYc10tQ
Secondly, figure out what the ‘self-sabotage’ is all about – examples of reasons that you might ‘self-sabotage’ – you’re trying to do something you don’t really want to do; there are fears of failure/success; there is a confidence issue; there is a need for upgrading your view of yourself.
Lastly, see your Big Dream as at the top of a staircase, and just keep stepping – make sure you are taking the next step and not trying to take step 99 ahead of step 1. Just take the next step.
