An Injection of Energy

Since having ‘the tingles’, I’ve been unable to do a couple of the things that normally help raise my energy – yoga and swimming. So I’ve had to pay attention to what else raises my energy level and do more of that. When talking about this with a friend, I realised that some people are entirely unaware of their energy levels. I mentioned yesterday the scale I use where 1 is flat, can’t be arsed energy and 10 is WOOHOO, full of enthusiasm energy.

Where are you on that scale today? And what will you be doing this weekend? And will those things raise or deplete your energy? Notice this weekend what you are doing that leaves you feeling drained of energy, and what you are doing that makes you feel alive and full of energy. And take the decision to get an injection of energy – to do things that energise you and fill you with enthusiasm and joy.

And if you like it, you could continue with daily injections of energy…forever.

Hey Susan! Lol, no it’s not shingles. I am tingling from the neck down – you know like when you have a dead leg and the feeling is just coming back? Not nice :-(…but it is better, and only 8 more days til the MRI!

Love it – like that little meditation! I’m going to try that out. Lol – laughing is a GREAT energy raiser. No problem there! xx

Hi, Donna — what is going on? I looked back to see if by tingles you meant shingles? My daughter Emily, had that last year and had great luck with the homeopath. But perhaps you’re working on something entirely different.

My energy today is about a 6. I would really like to call in to work, but as I am an hourly drone, I only do that if I absolutely have to. And my low energy is not from anything in particular, just general life circumstances and a couple of chronic health issues.

Thank you for making me think about the things that consistently raise my energy.
    In no particular order:
Self massage with essential oils, maybe a citrus (blood orange is great) or geranium.
    Toning
Meditation, either on the breath or guided.
A brisk walk out side (but not in the drizzle).
Oh! And a little ‘poetry meditation I learned from a book: Look around carefully (it seems best outside) for just everyday things and say :Beautiful the deep purple asters: beautiful too, the moss on the tree. Beautiful the wind tossed branches; beautiful too the rain darkened pavement. I go on with it until I feel my perspective shift and I can say it about what ever is in front of me: trash in the hedge, mud on the dog, the grouchy old lady giving me the finger :-). (I often burst out laughing in those situations, though, and that can cause it’s own set of problems)
And guess what, my energy is up to about a 7 just having thought about this, so I guess chatting with someone about positive things is a good energy booster.
    Sending you good thoughts
    Love
