Guest Post: Loving Life Through a Lens by Paula Kumert

To celebrate the release of my new book, Fall In Love With Life, I have invited a few friends to share their experiences and tips for falling in love with life. Today, I welcome my lovely friend Paula from Buenos Aires. Here’s what Paula had to say about loving life:

Life is busy. Sometimes messy, sometimes bubbly and many times just a blur.

By the end of each month I do a recap of that particular month. Last year for every issue of My month in numbers I thought “Blah, that was a lame month!” only to discover as I went through the files, life in all its glorious colour emerge in my photographs.

I invite you to fall in love with life through a lens, taking daily pictures of your ordinary life. You don´t need an expensive camera, your cell phone camera will do. What is happening in your life right now? Look for the beauty in the details.

The favourite cup that sits by the side of your computer while you work, the first golden autumn leaf or the fresh bud of spring, the unexpected visitor, the trusted friend. Look at the way the sun beams on your beloved´s hair, take a selfie of you two. Get in front of the camera too! Record the hearty meal you will enjoy and jot down a line about your favourite meals nowadays. Also about a childhood favourite. Schedule that one for next week. Look up the sky on rainy day and remember there is no bad weather, gear up and smile.

We always record the memorable moments like weddings and birthdays. Start recording the love and beauty of your daily life. Keep a grateful heart and your batteries charged. Go, have fun. Love your life.
