To celebrate the release of my new book, Fall In Love With Life, I have invited a few friends to share their experiences and tips for falling in love with life. Today, I welcome Eilish Bouchier from Eilishbouchier.com. Here’s Eilish’s Fall In Love With Life story:
If you can see it. You can be it.
If you can feel it. You’re already on your way.
Can you feel it?
I have long held a vision of a rambling house
in Europe, a creativity centre.
Of course there’s the man, the dogs,
family and friends coming, going and
clients leaving feeling restored and happy.
Why haven’t I created this?
I have created almost ever other thing
I wanted in my life.
Around the world again and again. . .
Travelled to more countries than letters
in my long Catholic name.
(Eilish Gabriel Patricia Cecilia Bouchier Dillon 🙂
Adventures everywhere –
hang gliding to elephant riding,
Culture – high brow to underground
More highlights than the World Cup
Sexy, funny husband
Flat by the beach
Boutique branding agency – global clients
Loving, fun, supportive family and friends
The list is endless
I’m a manifesting maniac.
Some were momentary.
Some a while. Some forever
Not all beer and skittles
Lots of lessons, tears, laughter
Life changes even if you stand still.
This year I wanted timeout to write a book
on the daily practice and how it creates your life.
You’ll have to read my blog to learn more about that.
I fancied a house in the country.
I’ve found a small but perfectly formed apartment
with a writing room in a charming village in Mallorca.
How do I do it?
How can you do it?
I choose it, then let it unfold.
I begin with the end in mind.
I feel into it.
Sounds way too simple.
I hear you shrug.
Truly it’s no more complicated than that.
I then get out my own way to let it happen
No getting distracted by a pair of Jimmy Choos
I follow the choices that take me closer
I don’t push. I follow.
It’s a subtle difference.
I say yes to what feels right, what feels aligned.
I came to Europe for the yoga festival
to tell 3000 yogis about the kundalini yoga app
I developed for them.
I asked my teacher how to spread the word
He said my work is to hold the consciousness
from concept to full manifestation
and gave me a mantra
that brings from seed to completion.
I’ve since been doing this for 31 minutes a day.
You see underneath all this is a discipline.
A daily practice that connects me to my source,
that allows me to hold the faith,
drop my doubts and find my stillness,
when I’ve taken yet another leap into the unknown.
I do yoga to do life
What do you do to do life?
He also invited me to present the app
at a Teachers Conference in October.
It meant staying a month longer.
There’s that time to write I wanted:-)
But how to finance it?
A lovely lady suggested
my Visualisation in Action workshop in Copenhagen (September 14).
A ceramist friend who shows
at Kinsale Arts Festival suggested there (September 21)
Then there’s London: the networking begins.
In the village I met a woman who exclaimed
‘I so need that right now.’ So we’re off!
Would you like me to present it too?
Anyone who has done it says it works.
You see, I preach what I practice
So, one thing follows another.
Could I have predicted it? Arranged it?
Could I have foreseen these people and places.
Would I have even thought of it?
Isn’t the world and people amazing?
You see, we can’t see
what the universe has in mind for us.
Once you open a door, it leads to another.
Choose the ones your heart says YES to.
What can you imagine?
What else could you create?
Now, about that creativity centre.
Will you come visit?
I’m sure you’ll leave feeling refreshed, restored and smiling.
Hasta pronto
