I have wanted to do this practice for ever such a long time, but kept putting it off because I didn’t have time to participate. Isn’t that sad? I don’t have time to sit down and write an old-fashioned letter and send it by snail mail. But I love receiving letters, and because they are so rare these days, they’re even more fun. (better than the brown-envelope, official looking things that normally pour through my letter-box)
There is nothing better than finding a handwritten envelope from a friend – even if it’s ‘just’ a card or a note to say hello, it’s a lovely thing to receive. So, flex those fingers, get out some paper and a pen, and get writing! I am currently cat and dog and house and pot plant sitting in Tenerife, so I have a little more time on my hands than usual, and I intend to get myself writing letters while I’m here.
What about you? Will you join in this practice? I’m going to make it a bit easier, and say just send one letter or postcard or card a week. You can, of course, send more if you wish! But I think one a week is doable – we’re not talking about writing an 85 page letter – a couple of pages will do, and as ever, if you follow my facebook and twitter pages, there’ll be daily reminders and inspirations to help you get writing.
Please leave me a comment and let me know if you’re going to join in this practice.

Woohoo! I’m sure the 4 lucky folks who get a postcard in the post from you this month will be DELIGHTED! x
Wow, Donna, Okay I’m in, and I’m going for the postcard-a-week idea. Love it! Thanks…!
