Well, I have paid the price today for my insistence on being out of doors yesterday – I cannot leave the house in daylight due to seriously sunburnt shoulders! It’s lucky I work from home as I also can’t bear to have anything on them so I’m half-undressed and I’ve used half a bottle of AfterSun. It just goes to show that too much of a good thing is a bad thing. By the way, I was in the shade most of the day because I know my pale Irish skin can’t cope with sunshine…but in the 20 odd minutes I was in the sun, I managed to burn. Sigh.
On a positive note, I now have the most moisturised shoulders in England, so it’s not all bad!
Happy Tuesday!

There must be some gadget these days that will beep at you if your in danger of burning! Mind you, I have burnt in the car in february before so I guess I just need to wear sunscreen every day, all day! x
I know how you feel. Same thing happened to me in Berlin. It was overcast, I thought the sun wasn’t strong, went out in a short sleeved t-shirt, no sunscreen, thought I would be ok…That evening lobster fest on my arms. Ouch!
Next day, long sleeved t-shirt and loads of sunscreen on what skin was bared.
