How much time do you spend online? Do you spend a ridiculous amount of time on Auntie Google and Uncle Youtube? Are you totally obsessed with Facebook and Twitter? Do you ever give yourself a technology break? Do you ever have 24 or 48 hours where you don’t go on your computer?
Maybe it’s time to take a break? Take 24 or 48 hours off technology…and don’t forget to prepare and set yourself up for success!
Here’s the link to the 21 day meditation challenge: https://www.chopracentermeditation.com/Bestsellers/LandingPage.aspx?BookId=172 – it started on November 5th, but you can still get access to the first few days meditations at the moment.

Lol Mary. Well, I’m a great believer in making it easy Mary, so here’s my 12-step program for you: Step 1: What is the length of time you are comfortable with switching off the iphone (and being awake!). If it’s less than an hour, do it every day for a week. For more than an hour, do it at the weekends (I’m guessing you’ll need it for work?) Step 2: Double the amount of time – if less than an hour, every day for a week, more than an hour, at the weekends. Step 3: Double it again! Before you know it, you’ll be switching off for a techno-free day! xxx
Lol – I knew there was someone specific who needed to see this! How did you get on Toni? xx
Yeah, that caused me some consternation before I realised I could do it on my phone! Phew. x
Lol Shan – well done for getting up to 9 hours…next step, a whole day!! Lol. 😀
I’ve started to do this at weekends where I don’t turn on my laptop however think I need a 12 step program to remove myself from my iphone for any great length of time.
I believe you must be talking directly to me…as I sit here watching tv and on the computer instead of sleeping. Turning off the computer tomorrow and having a life:)
I agree! It’s so important to unplug regularly. I have been doing the 21 day challenge and really enjoying it (though you have to plug in to participate).
Switching off from technology one day a week? GAH! I love the idea but not sure I could do it – it’s a *very* different concept than one weekend a year!
I have worked up to about 9 hours at a time on weekends. Hope you’ve enjoyed your time away and replenished yourself as a result.
Loving the meditation challenge – I’m doing it too 🙂
